• Random widths and lengths
• Grows throughout the eastern United States and to a lesser extent of West Coast
• In most respects very similar to hard maple: heartwood of soft maple is somewhat lighter in color and the sapwood, somewhat wider
• Not as heavy, hard, or strong as hard maple
• Note: Quantity ordered refers to board feet
